I share a terrific little story from Danish mythology told to me by a Danish explorer I met in the rain forests of Sumatra, Indonesia in 1996:
Many years ago, at a time where distant memories fade, the Gods and Man walked the Earth together, side by side as equals. They shared the same powers but the Gods were disappointed. Man's pride and immodesty saddened them so, as he showed no humility at being their equal.
So the Gods got together to discuss Man's transgressions and decided to strip him of his powers. But where to hide them so that Man would never find them unless he rediscovers his humility?
They discussed the issue over many moons - what should they do; where to hide them?
One suggested at the top of the highest mountain, another suggested at the bottom of the deepest sea , one suggested on the dark side of the moon or even hidden away behind the stars but they could not agree because they all knew that Man would, one day, reach these far away places.
After much deliberation and searching, the Gods finally decided on the perfect place - they would hide Man's power inside each individual person. The Gods knew that Man's pride and immodesty would never allow him to look inside of himself for his true powers.
The first step on the road to enlightenment requires humility.

Didier..I love this story. Thank you for sharing with us. It is my constant offering in all that I do on this earth....keep me humble, keep me humble, keep me humble. As gifts continue to pour and I am the fortunate receiver, may I reamain insightful enough to know that this is not from me...but from Source.

As I have been known to do - I cried. Didier we have been together for many years, yet have not heard this story. You are a pool of wisdom from what I suspect many lives and I feel so blessed to have such close access to these little gems. I am excited that you are opening that source to flow. Keep writing! Love you! Lee
